- The blue filter is specifically designed to work in combination with a red filter. The red filter restores colors lost in the water column, while the blue filter prevents the artificial warm cast your video light would otherwise create on illuminated subjects. - Will this filter work on the SL20?
- No. This blue filter is compatible with the SL50 and SL120 only. The SL20 uses a different filter system -- the colour filter wheel.
- At what depth is this filter most effective?
- The blue filter is useful at any depth where you are using a red filter -- typically from 3m onwards, where red wavelengths begin to be absorbed by the water. It is most impactful in the 5-20m range where the red filter effect is strongest.
