The YS-D3 DUO pairs two discharge tubes with an aspherical toroidal lens to deliver GN33 output and genuinely even light distribution across an 80° × 105° beam. Three shooting modes cover every camera system from OM SYSTEM RC wireless to multi-brand DS-TTL II to manual with 11 steps. AA-battery powered, 100m depth rated.

⚡ GN33 output — dual discharge tubes
Two straight discharge tubes deliver guide number 33 — one of the highest among general-purpose underwater strobes. With the included flat diffuser attached, beam angle expands to 100° × 110° (GN28). An optional dome diffuser opens it to 150° × 170° for fisheye coverage.
📸 Three shooting modes
DS-TTL II for multi-brand auto exposure; RC mode developed in collaboration with OM Digital Solutions for OM SYSTEM cameras; Manual mode with 11 steps (GN1 to GN33) for full creative control. Mode is identified by indicator colour so you always know your setting at depth.
🔆 Aspherical toroidal lens — even light edge to edge
Sea&Sea’s proprietary lens design eliminates the hot-spot centre and uneven fall-off of conventional strobe optics. The result is clean, consistent illumination across the entire frame — essential for wide-angle and split-shot work.
🎯 LED target light — adjustable 150 / 300 lm
Two-stage target light for focus assist and beam angle checking. Bright enough to use in blue water, subdued enough not to spook subjects.
🔋 AA batteries — widely available worldwide
Runs on four AA batteries (alkaline or Ni-MH). Up to 140 flashes (alkaline) or 220 flashes (Ni-MH) at full power. 1.7-second recycle time on Ni-MH. No proprietary charger to forget.
⚖️ Near-neutral buoyancy underwater
With ball mount and clamp installed, the YS-D3 DUO is approximately −20g underwater. Your rig balance stays consistent regardless of strobe position.
