The LX Red Filter threads onto the M52 mount of any LX-series light head. It shifts output to red light, which most marine creatures don’t perceive as threatening, making it ideal as a focus light for macro and wildlife photography. The light’s built-in flash sensor cuts the light the instant your strobe fires — so no red cast bleeds into your image.

🟥 Red light for skittish subjects
Marine life that reacts to white light often ignores red wavelengths. Use the LX Red Filter as your focus/target light during macro or critter dives without disturbing the subject before you shoot.

📸 Works with the flash sensor
Leave the flash sensor enabled on your LX light. When your strobe fires, the light cuts instantly — the red filter disappears from the frame. No colour cast, no post-processing fix needed.

🔧 M52 screw mount — secure and watertight
Threads directly onto the M52 accessory mount on the LX light head. Corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy body with acrylic optic. Must be used with a small amount of water (or seawater) between the filter and the light head for optical contact. Underwater use only.
