Kraken KR-S160 Strobe
160 watt-seconds. 1.6-second recycle. ~400 flashes per charge.
The KR-S160 is Kraken's flagship underwater strobe — a fully manual unit built for underwater photographers who want maximum power and predictable, repeatable results. Like the KR-S80, it's manual-only, which is exactly what experienced underwater shooters want: you dial in your power, it fires at that power, every time. No hunting, no guessing.
160Ws puts the KR-S160 in the power range of strobes that cost significantly more. The 1.6-second recycle to full power is fast for this output level. At ~400 flashes per charge on the integrated battery pack, you can shoot an entire dive day on a single charge.
The circular flash tube produces even, wrap-around illumination with soft edges — no hot spots, no hard shadows. The 140°+ coverage angle works with most wide-angle and fisheye lenses, and the included dome diffuser widens that further for ultra-wide setups. The built-in 500-lumen spot LED doubles as an independently controlled focus light for low ambient conditions, and Multi Flash mode adds rapid sequential firing for creative effects.
